Are you a Mom who wants to work at home? Do you hate the idea of doing somebody else’s typing or administrative work? Well, how about this for a work at home mom’s business idea?
Start your own niche marketing website and don’t say just yet that you wouldn’t know how to do that because more on this later. Now you can approach this in two different ways:
1. Choose a topic that you’re passionate and knowledgeable about such as childcare, cookery, pets or even car maintenance if that’s your bag.
or
2. Choose something that you may know very little or nothing about but which is hugely profitable such as weight loss or internet marketing If you do happen have personal experience of one of these, so much the better; you’re really on a winner.
If you’re new to this, you may be wondering how you make a business out of a website, so here goes.
There are a number of ways that you can make money with your own website:
1. Become an affiliate for specific products related to your niche and advertise them on your site.
2. Join ClickBank and Amazon and advertise products that they are selling which are related to your niche.
3. Host Google AdSense advertisements
4. Create your own products, either virtual such as eBooks or physical such as candles, knitwear or art.
On the subject of creating your own products; unless you have a wealth of knowledge about something, love writing, have plenty of spare time and can wait for your income to start arriving, writing an eBook is a lengthy and time consuming business and in the end, it may not sell. Physical products have the disadvantage of having to be created, packed and shipped, so I would recommend number 2 above and join ClickBank which has far higher commission rates than Amazon.
Now the process of creating your website. Actually, I’m not going to go into that here; follow the link at the bottom of this article for more information about that as well as keyword research.
So, this is the process you need to follow:
1. Choose your niche.
2. Choose or create your product.
3. Do your keyword research.
4. Choose your domain name based on your research.
5. Sign up for hosting.
